Coach Val Jones has been a CrossFitter for a decade and specializes in motivation. Passionate about living a healthy lifestyle, and living a life with no regrets, Val loves seeing members become fit and healthy and do things that they never thought they could do.
A former competitive and professional figure skater, Val was hooked from the first time she tried CrossFit. “It allowed me to show up and still be a competitor,” she says. “I loved it so much that I knew I had to make a career change and do this for a living.” Her coaching philosophy is simple and direct: “Show up. Do the work. All I ask, is all you got. You will always know where you stand with me. I’m working on getting a filter. It’s not going well.”
When not in the gym, Val loves to tell others about CrossFit and spend fun time with her three dogs. Her favorite motivational saying: “The only real disability in life is a bad attitude.” ~Scott Hamilton
